Chelsea Ponder Summer Move For Prolific Serie A Striker

Chelsea are reportedly planning a summer transfer move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Despite signing Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku in the summer, Chelsea were linked to strikers during the previous transfer window.

The Blues’ league standing indicates that they have had trouble scoring goals this season. Following their loss at home to Wolves at Stamford Bridge, they currently sit 11th in the Premier League.

Chelsea will look to upgrade at the end of the current campaign, and according to Fichajes as reported by CaughtOffside, the Blues could target Juventus talismanic forward, Vlahovic.

The Serbian has been back to his scoring ways over the last few weeks. And the Spanish publication suggests that Juve might be persuaded to sell for a fee of £68 million.

Atletico Madrid and Chelsea have him marked as a “big target,” so this summer, the striker will have to make a tough choice between the two.

Chelsea allowed Armando Broja to sign a loan agreement with Fulham, their West London rivals, rather than boosting their attacking options.

It is expected that the Blues will sign a new striker prior to the 2024–2025 season. But it is not certain that Broja will remain at Stamford Bridge in the long run.

Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen are two other players whose names are being linked to Chelsea.

The Napoli star’s contract now includes a £111 million release clause, which must be triggered for the Italian team to allow him leave.

Given his injury history this season, Chelsea would be better served pursuing Vlahovic in the impending transfer window rather than the Nigerian star.
