Marco Reus May Join MLS After Champions League Final

Ex-footballer Samir Nasri revealed that Marco Reus is reportedly considering a move to Major League Soccer after the current season.

There have already been discussions about a possible MLS move, according to Nasri. No particular clubs were mentioned.

Reus and Borussia Dortmund have two remaining Bundesliga games against Mainz and Darmstadt and the Champions League final.

90 min reports that the club announced on May 3 that they mutually agreed not to extend Reus’s contract beyond the current campaign.

“I’m immensely appreciative of and proud of this unique period in my career at Borussia Dortmund.

“I’ve spent more than half of my life at this club, cherishing every single day, even through the toughest moments.”

Reus remarked, “I already know that it would be hard for me to say goodbye at the end of the season.

Reus Hopes To Win Champions League Final

Dortmund defeated Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 on aggregate on Tuesday to advance to the Champions League final.

The Bundesliga team lost 2-1 to Bayern Munich in the 2013 CL final.

It was the first time that two German teams had faced off in the competition’s history. There will be a second Der Klassiker in the championship match as Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are tied on aggregate.

Reus’s stint at Dortmund would come to a close with him raising the title.

Naturally, supporters would be thrilled to see Reus team up with Inter Miami and Lionel Messi. We’ll have to wait for additional details about any prospective buyers.

In the last six months, Emil Forsberg and Hannes Wolf, ex-Bundesliga players, joined MLS.

Soon, Reus is expected to follow Forsberg and Wolf and Giroud is likely to sign with LAFC after UEFA Euro 2024.
