Manchester United has joined rivals Liverpool and Chelsea in the hunt to recruit Jarrod Bowen from relegation-threatened West Ham.
Bowen, 29, is expected to be available during the summer transfer window, with the Irons having to earn more than £100 million ($134 million) in player sales if they slip out of the top tier.
West Ham are only two points from safety and will be relegated if Tottenham defeat Everton on Sunday, regardless of how they do against Leeds. Despite the club’s vulnerable state, Bowen has 10 goals and 11 assists as captain of the failing team.

The attacker will also keep an eye on Friday’s England World Cup team announcement, hoping to be called up. Liverpool has long been regarded the frontrunners to recruit him as a replacement for Mo Salah, who is due to leave Anfield this summer, but Chelsea has also emerged as a serious contender. Ex-Reds manager Jurgen Klopp even mentioned Bowen as one of his ‘favorite’ players.
Now, United has joined the fray. According to the Guardian, the Red Devils are preparing a deal to improve their striking options ahead of their Champions League comeback.
United are said to value Bowen’s adaptability. According to the Mirror, the former Hull City player can play as a striker or right winger and has scored double digits in five of his six full seasons at West Ham.
