Manchester United have reportedly contacted Aurelien Tchouameni’s representatives and informed them of their desire to bring the Real Madrid defensive midfielder to Old Trafford.
The Premier League club’s co-owners, INEOS, have intensified their pursuit of important targets to make the team competitive as manager Michael Carrick leads United to Champions League football for the upcoming season.
Atalanta and United already have an agreement in place for Ederson Silva, and the Red Devils are hoping to bring in another midfield player.
Aurelien Tchouameni is Manchester United’s “dream” midfield target, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

On Monday night, the Italian journalist reaffirmed his assertion and highlighted two obstacles the club must overcome in order to acquire the defensive midfield player for France.
“There is no doubt at all that Man Utd dream and love Aurelien Tchouameni.
“I can guarantee this.
“They super-appreciate the player and they consider him perfect, but at the same time, to be realistic in terms of transfer fee, it depends on Real Madrid and Real Madrid are yet again to open doors to an exit and then also the salary, it’s a point.

Manchester United are said to have contacted the agents of Tchouameni, who is currently with France in the 2026 World Cup finals.

According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, the Old Trafford club are avidly after 26-year-old Tchouameni, and Madrid, who have Jose Mourinho as manager, are ‘open’ to selling the player.
Longari posted on X: “Real Madrid are open to considering the departure of Aurelien Tchouameni.
“The midfielder would like to stay but the Merengues are contemplating a transfer for him.
“Manchester United have expressed strong interest to Tchouameni’s agents.”
