Man City Star Pleads With Pep Guardiola  To Drop Him For Premier League Clash With Luton

Guardiola, Although Rodri has been an important member of Manchester City’s team this season, he has acknowledged that he needs a break badly as he has been losing steam recently.

Manchester City’s star player Rodri has pleaded with manager Pep Guardiola to give him a break, confessing that he’s exhausted.

Rodri has been pushing his limits for the champions this season, having started 22 out of their last 24 games across all competitions.

However, the Spanish midfielder believes he needs some downtime after running out of energy and plans to discuss this with Guardiola before their upcoming Premier League match against Luton.

In Tuesday’s exciting 3-3 Champions League draw between City and Real Madrid, Rodri was obviously out of form, even though he had not lost in 65 straight games for both club and country.

Guardiola has heard Rodri’s statement that he needs time off to get back to his best and help City win back-to-back Trebles.

The midfield player intends to recover in time for next week’s second leg of the quarterfinal matchup against Real Madrid at the Etihad.

“I do need a rest,” he said. Let’s observe our words and how we handle the circumstance. At times, things just are. I must adapt. Indeed, we are lacking in it (rest). I, along with all of us, can do better. However, we need to rest, to be honest.”
