Man City Have No Problem Paying €50M To Trigger Amazing Transfer

Manchester City would reportedly have no issue paying the €50 million needed to sign Bayern Munich midfielder, Joshua Kimmich in the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old’s contract at the Allianz Arena is about to expire. And it appears that he will be free to depart for the right price if he doesn’t agree to extend it with the club soon.

The asking price would probably be in the region of €50 million, according to Sport as reported by Caught Offside. As a result, City and other teams are keeping an eye out for his services this summer.

With midfielders Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes not really contributing much since moving to the Etihad Stadium last summer. Kimmich, who has previously played under Pep Guardiola, could be a fantastic addition to this City side.

Although the report indicates that Kimmich would prefer to sign with Barcelona. City may still be able to secure a deal for the player if they are in a strong enough financial position.

Barca may also try to lower Kimmich’s asking price by including players like Ronald Araujo and Frenkie de Jong in the deal.

However, it is unclear whether Bayern would be willing to accept such an offer, as such transfers are actually fairly uncommon in football.

A talented player like Kimmich pushing himself in English football would be interesting. And he would undoubtedly be enticed to play for Guardiola once more given that doing so virtually ensures big-time trophies.

However, Barcelona are still a well-known team, so if that’s where the player wants to go, maybe the Cityzens won’t try hard enough to sign the player. Instead they will pursue other targets if the player isn’t so keen in joining them.
