Manchester United have formally confirmed Harry Maguire’s new deal and the England international has spoken out about his decision.
Maguire’s previous contract was set to expire this summer, so it appeared earlier in the season that he would be nearing the end of his time as a United player.
His recent performance has significantly improved, and the 33-year-old has shown his potential as a valuable player of this team, so this will undoubtedly be welcomed by United supporters.
The former Leicester City defender’s new contract was confirmed by United on their official website this morning. According to Caught Offside, the player was cited as expressing his happiness at staying.

According to a recent video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, he believes Kobbie Mainoo will be the next to sign after Maguire.
While keeping hold of Mainoo will undoubtedly be essential for the club’s future, Maguire’s retention is a significant lift, though likely a temporary fix.
The 20-year-old appears to have many more years of excellent performances ahead of him. He has demonstrated tremendous potential during his time with the MUFC first team.
