Liverpool Agree Terms With England Star Over Shock Return

Liverpool have reportedly agreed personal terms with England defender Jarell Quansah as they consider bringing him back.

The centre-back left Anfield last summer to join Bayer Leverkusen in search of regular first-team opportunities abroad.

Since arriving in Germany, Quansah has impressed with consistent performances and earned a place in England’s squad.

His development has strengthened Liverpool’s interest, particularly following several high-profile departures from their defensive ranks.

Reds Consider Activating Buy-Back Clause

Reports suggest Liverpool inserted a buy-back option when Quansah completed his £35 million move to Leverkusen.

That clause would allow the Premier League champions to re-sign the defender for a reported £55 million.

It is understood Quansah has already agreed personal terms, although Liverpool have not made a final decision.

The defender enjoyed an excellent campaign in Germany, making forty-four appearances and contributing five goals overall.

Liverpool are assessing defensive reinforcements following the departures of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate.

New head coach Andoni Iraola is also monitoring several Bournemouth players as part of his transfer plans, reports Sports Bible.

Quansah’s familiarity with Liverpool could make him an attractive option compared to pursuing an external replacement.

The England international remains contracted to Bayer Leverkusen until 2030 after establishing himself in the Bundesliga.

Speaking earlier this year, Quansah admitted leaving Liverpool was an easy decision because he wanted regular football.

A return to Anfield would complete a remarkable full-circle move after just one season away from Merseyside.
