‘I Just Told Him…’ – Senior France Defender Reveals The Advice He Gave Mbappe About Real Madrid Move

Kylian Mbappe’s time at Real Madrid has been filled with high expectations, harsh scrutiny, and frequent headlines.

Despite the pressure that inevitably surrounds the French superstar, support continues to emerge from those who understand what it means to wear the renowned white jersey.

One of those voices is Theo Hernandez, a former Real Madrid left-back.

What did they say?

In an interview with AS, the France international discussed his connection with Mbappe and made it obvious that his appreciation for the Real Madrid striker goes beyond what spectators witness on the pitch.

When asked about their friendship, the left-back, who presently plays for Al Hilal, stated, “I have an excellent relationship with Kylian. We’re pals off the field.

“And on it, we know the kind of player he is: an incredible footballer, a magnificent captain, and he knows we’ll always be there for him.”

The comments come at a time when Mbappe, despite ending the La Liga season as the top scorer, has faced harsh criticism both on and off the pitch.

Despite this, Theo feels the forward possesses all of the attributes necessary to manage the burden.

Advice for Mbappe

The former Real Madrid and AC Milan defender also disclosed what advise he provided Mbappe upon his move to Santiago Bernabeu.

Theo reflected on the chats, saying, “No, I just told him that Real Madrid was the best club in the world.”

He then confessed that, despite playing football in Saudi Arabia, he still carefully follows Los Blancos.

“And, well, I’ve always seen him play. I regularly follow Real Madrid’s matches from Saudi Arabia since my pal Brahim is also there.”

Theo proceeded to defend his foreign partner, complimenting both his performance and demeanor.

“The fact is, I believe Mbappe is performing really well. “He’s an excellent player, captain, and leader.”

The former Real Madrid defender then issued possibly his most powerful expression of support.

“We will always support Mbappe until the end,” he ended.
