CHELSEA
Next 5: Lee – Lei(H) – Sou – Whu(H) – Ful
From now until the break, Chelsea’s schedule looks tasty, especially from an attacking perspective.
Not one of their next four opponents had more than eight clean sheets in the 21/22 season.
These defensive shortcomings have continued into the current season, and they have combined for no clean sheets in the first two Gameweeks.
Meanwhile Fulham who played a goalless draw against Wolves last weekend, are also not known for their defensive capabilities.
BRENTFORD
Next 5: Ful – Eve(H) – Cry – Lee(H) – Sou
The 35-minute blitz that gave the Bees a 4-0 lead over Manchester United on Saturday overshadowed David Raya’s (£4.5m) first clean sheet of the season.
Josh Dasilva (£4.6m) added to his opening-day strike at Leicester when he scored the game’s first goal, and this week, his value is expected to quadruple.
With fixtures againts Fulham, Crystal Palace and Southampton, coupled with home games against Everton and Leeds, Brentford assets are in for a possible rise.
Dasilva’s position would possibly be in doubt once recent acquisition Mikkel Damsgaard (£5.5m) is up to speed.
Ivan Toney (£7.1m) will be excited to take on Fulham. As well as the three poorest defenses among last season’s survivors: Everton, Leeds United, and Southampton.
Bryan Mbeumo (£6.0m) would be a good choice for those who can’t quite afford Toney.
ARSENAL
Next 5: Bou – Ful(H) – Avl(H) – Mun – Eve(H)
Arsenal’s assets are already extremely popular. Gabriel Jesus (£8.1m) has surpassed 76% ownership thanks to his 19-point performance in Gameweek 2.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Martinelli (£6.3m) has seen a third price increase just 2 games into the season.
Having back-to-back matches against recently promoted Bournemouth and Fulham has tremendous appeal and may persuade some to name Jesus as captain.
It should be remembered, nevertheless, that over the first two rounds, both teams have already achieved a clean sheet.
It appears promising for defensive players, including Oleksandr Zinchenko (£5.2m), a possible out-of-position player, and goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale (£5.0m), as well as less expensive center back William Saliba (£4.5m).
BRIGHTON
Next 5: Whu – Lee(H) – Ful – Lei(H) – Bou
The Gameweeks 4–7 schedule appears to be as good as it gets in FPL, and the Seagulls’ victory over West Ham United on the final day of 2021–22 adds an extra layer of appeal.
Saturday’s scoreless draw with Newcastle United has already granted goalkeeper Robert Sanchez (£4.5m) a clean sheet.
Lewis Dunk (£4.5m) is still available to managers for a cheap defensive covering.

Currently, Pascal Gross (£5.6m) is the most valuable Brighton asset and ranks third in the league in expected goal involvement (xGI) with a total of 2.07.
Given that Neal Maupay (£6.5m) appears to be leaving, the German who is already on all set pieces and may also be on penalties.
