Dembele Plots ‘Something Big’ Against Arsenal In Champions League Final

Ousmane Dembele has reportedly stated that PSG hope to accomplish “something big” against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League final after winning Ligue 1.

PSG defeated second-place Lens 2-0 thanks to goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and substitute Ibrahim Mbaye, winning the championship for the fifth consecutive year.

PSG’s domestic season comes to an end on Sunday against Paris FC, their neighbours. After that, they have two weeks to get ready for their match against Arsenal in Budapest on May 30.

Dembele Delighted To Win Ligue 1

“We wanted to come and win here,” said Dembele after the victory over Lens as reported by TNT Sports.
“As we said, we especially want to prepare for the final on May 30.
“We had to play a serious match. Have another one on Sunday. We are going to celebrate because it is official, we are champions.”

PSG are attempting to become the first team to win consecutive Champions League titles since Real Madrid in 2018. Dembele’s chances of winning the Ballon d’Or a second time in a row will also increase if the Parisiens win the trophy once more.

Despite making just 10 starts, Dembele was voted Ligue 1 Player of the Season. He claims he is “very relaxed” about the possibility of winning the Ballon d’Or for a second consecutive year.

”As I said, individual trophies, they come after. If it comes, that’s good; if it doesn’t come, that’s how it is. The most important thing is the team titles. We won Ligue 1, the European Supercup, and the Intercontinental Cup. On May 30, we have something big for PSG fans.”
