Cristiano Ronaldo’s Son Practices With Real Madrid U-16 Hoping To Join The Academy

According to Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, Cristiano Ronaldo’s eldest child is practicing at Real Madrid’s youth academy in preparation for a move to the club.

Ronaldo Jr., 15, is thought to have trained with the Merengues’ Under-16 squad in preparation for a probable transfer to La Fabrica in the near future.

Ronaldo Jr., a striker, is currently a member of the Al Nassr academy, having joined the Saudi Arabian club following his father in December 2022.

Prior to that, the young forward spent time in the youth systems of Juventus and Manchester United, two of Cristiano’s former teams.

Ronaldo Jr. was born in the United States and received his first Portugal youth call-up in May 2025, making his debut for the U-15 team against Japan in the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament. Since then, he has also played for the national U-17 squad.

The young striker has now began training with Real Madrid’s U-16 team and could soon move for La Fabrica, where Enzo Alves, the son of another club legend Marcelo, is already making headlines.

If Ronaldo Jr. joins the Real Madrid academy, the child will face high expectations, given his father’s success at the club.

Cristiano spent nine years at Real Madrid, signing from Manchester United in 2009 and leaving for Juventus in 2018.

During that period, the 41-year-old Portuguese superstar won two La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey medals, and four UEFA Champions League titles.

Ronaldo is also Real Madrid’s all-time greatest goalscorer, having scored 450 goals in 438 matches.
