Chelsea Ready To Pay Whatever It Takes For Victor Osimhen

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to pay ‘whatever it takes’ to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer.

Christopher Nkunku is set to join the Blues from RB Leipzig this summer, but the club are presumed to be looking for a big-money centre-forward at the end of the season.

According to a recent report, Graham Potter’s side are preparing to compete with Manchester United for the signature of Osimhen, who has become one of the most sought-after attackers in the world.

Chelsea are more determined than ever to sign the Nigeria international and will pay ‘whatever it takes’ to ensure his arrival at Stamford Bridge, according to The Mirror.

Despite the club’s record spending in the last two transfer windows, the club’s new owners are said to be willing to sanction a large deal.

Osimhen has been in superb form for Napoli this season, scoring 17 goals and registering four assists in 21 appearances across all competitions.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian has scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 17 Serie A appearances, with the team currently leading the table by 16 points.

Osimhen has scored seven goals in his last five league appearances, including a brace against Spezia Calcio in Italy’s top flight on Sunday.

Napoli are said to have set a €120m (£107m) asking price for the Nigerian, which Chelsea and Man United are said to be willing to meet during the upcoming transfer window.

Potter’s team has only won one of their last six league games, leaving them in ninth place in the table, ten points behind fourth-placed Newcastle United after the same number of games (21).

Chelsea will travel to West Ham United the following weekend looking to get back to winning ways in the league.
