Besiktas Make Huge Decision On Dele Alli’s Future

Unexpectedly, Besiktas are thinking about extending Dele Alli’s contract at the club. Alli joined the Turkish team on loan from Everton at the beginning of the season, but has struggled severely. Appearing in just 17 games as a consequence of a hip injury.

The 27-year-old was jeered off the field by his own supporters in December following a dismal performance against Şanlurfa in a Turkish Cup match. Moreover, manager Senol Gunes had expelled them from matchday squads for the rest of the season.

A surprise U-turn by Besiktas president Ahmet Nur Cebi contradicts earlier reports that the Black Eagles have no interest in keeping Alli over his season-long loan. Alli’s Everton contract expires in 2024. And according to Cebi as claimed by the Daily Mail, if Alli ‘leaves Everton for free’ in the summer, he would be open to signing him permanently.

When Alli was recently seen sucking on a balloon while surrounded by gas canisters, he sparked outrage. Although the former Tottenham player has yet to speak out about the event. Sean Dyche, the manager of Everton, responded to questions regarding Alli after the release of the photographs.

He said: “You can only guide people with what you think is good for them. Eventually, players have choices, so we recommend they make good choices.

“But behind that, he’s factually injured. He’s come back with a proper injury that’s going to take some time to get sorted out, so he’ll use that period wisely, I hope.”
