Several wide players have already been linked with Barcelona in recent weeks, but fresh reports claim Abde has now emerged as a serious option for sporting director Deco and head coach Hansi Flick.
Abde Could Return To Camp Nou
Abde left Barcelona in 2023 to join Real Betis in a deal worth €7.5million after making 14 first-team appearances for the club.
Despite selling him, Barcelona still retain a percentage of the winger’s future transfer rights, making any possible return slightly easier to negotiate financially.
The 24-year-old has impressed for Betis this season, contributing nine goals and eight assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.
His pace, dribbling and direct attacking style are believed to appeal strongly to Barcelona’s recruitment team, reports Barca Universal.
However, any move for the Moroccan international may depend on what happens with Rashford first. Barcelona reportedly hold a €30million option to buy the England forward permanently before mid-June.
If they decide not to activate that clause, Abde could quickly become one of the leading candidates to return and provide competition for Raphinha on the left wing.
