Alexander-Arnold Posts Four-Word Message Following England Snub

Trent Alexander-Arnold celebrated Real Madrid’s victory against Atletico Madrid on Sunday night and gave an inexplicable Instagram update regarding his future with England after being left out of Thomas Tuchel’s most recent Three Lions squad.

Despite having a more successful second half of the season, the right-back, who has had a disappointing international career, is fighting to be selected for the 2026 World Cup.

According to Goal, the former Liverpool right-back, who was left out of the starting XI, later posted a four-word message on his Instagram account which read: “Madrid. And nothing else.”

Alexander-Arnold is battling hard to get a place on the plane to the US, Canada, and Mexico this summer after being left out of Tuchel’s most recent England team for the forthcoming international matches against Uruguay and Japan.

‘It Is A Sporting Decision’ – Tuchel On Alexander-Arnold’s Omission

Tuchel explained why Alexander-Arnold was left out of his recent squad, stating that he was aware of the defender’s abilities but that choosing other right-backs over him was a deliberate choice.

He said: “I know very well what Trent can offer us. I played many times against him and suffered when he played against my teams with Liverpool. So I know very well about his strength and what he can give.

“But at the moment it is like we have evidence how good we were in September, October, November, and the players who are in camp for right full-back, they have to push for their ticket, they have to compete, they have to show again that they deserve this.

“It is a sporting decision that we stick with [Jarell] Quansah, with [Tino] Livramento and with [Djed] Spence.”
