Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement with Yan Diomande over a summer move to Anfield as the club intensifies efforts to replace departing talisman Mohamed Salah.
The 19-year-old winger has emerged as Liverpool’s top transfer target following Salah’s exit, with the Premier League giants already submitting an opening offer to RB Leipzig.
However, the Bundesliga side rejected the initial proposal and remain firm on their valuation.

Diomande has enhanced his reputation further with impressive performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including a standout display against Germany that attracted widespread attention from Europe’s biggest clubs.
PSG Pull Out As Liverpool Gain Advantage
According to reports from France, Liverpool have reached an understanding with the Ivory Coast international’s representatives, leaving only a club-to-club agreement to be finalised.
Paris Saint-Germain were also interested in signing the highly-rated teenager, but the French champions have reportedly withdrawn from the race after refusing to match Leipzig’s demands. The Ligue 1 side explored a potential deal but ultimately decided against entering a bidding war.
Liverpool’s position has consequently strengthened, with the player understood to be open to making the move to Merseyside. The next challenge for the Reds will be convincing Leipzig to lower their asking price.
Reports suggest Liverpool’s opening bid was worth around £90 million, while Leipzig are believed to be demanding as much as £128 million for their prized asset.
Should a deal be completed at that figure, Diomande would become the most expensive signing in Premier League history. The current record belongs to Alexander Isak, whose £125 million move to Liverpool in 2025 set a new benchmark, reports Football 365.
Liverpool remain hopeful that negotiations can progress in the coming weeks as they look to secure one of world football’s brightest young talents.
