Real Madrid may have already completed four signings before the summer transfer window officially opens, but Jose Mourinho is still pushing for further additions as he prepares for his first season back at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Spanish giants are expected to continue strengthening key areas of the squad, with a centre-back, midfielder and winger believed to be among the club’s priorities.
Names such as Nico Schlotterbeck, Enzo Fernandez and Michael Olise have all been linked with potential moves as Real Madrid continue their ambitious rebuild.
Target-Man Option Remains On Mourinho’s Radar
Despite those priorities, Mourinho has reportedly informed the club’s sporting department that he would welcome the arrival of a traditional striker capable of offering something different in attack.
The profile being discussed is similar to that of former Real Madrid forward Joselu, who became a fan favourite during the 2023/24 campaign.
Although he was not a regular starter, Joselu scored 18 goals in all competitions and played a decisive role in the Champions League, most notably with his dramatic brace against Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.
For now, Real Madrid are not actively pursuing a new striker, largely because academy graduate Gonzalo Garcia remains part of Mourinho’s plans.
The 22-year-old has impressed since breaking into the first team and is viewed as a useful alternative option in attack.
However, that situation could change before the end of the transfer window, reports Siempre Madrid.
If Gonzalo were to leave the club, Real Madrid would almost certainly move for a replacement.
Mourinho believes a physical number nine could add valuable tactical flexibility alongside stars such as Kylian Mbappe and Endrick, making the position one to watch as the summer progresses.
