According to reports, Declan Rice is spearheading a “charm offensive” to try and persuade Morgan Rogers to sign for Arsenal as the Gunners intensify their efforts to get the Aston Villa star.
Rogers is at the top of Arsenal’s shortlist of intriguing attacking targets as they aim to build on a Premier League championship season.
Although the 23-year-old only signed a new deal with Aston Villa last year, we know he feels it might be time to advance in his career.

As Mikel Arteta and sports director Andrea Berta continue to reconfigure the club’s attacking options ahead of the new season, Arsenal has stepped up its evaluation of Rogers, according to a June 5 update from TEAMtalk trade insider Graeme Bailey.
According to sources, Arsenal thinks the former Middlesbrough player can significantly improve their left side of the attack while also bringing the unpredictability and game-winning ability that certain team members thought were occasionally lacking last season.
Rogers is seen as someone who can provide that extra X-factor, and even with Eberechi Eze’s arrival, there is still a sense at the Emirates that another top offensive option might take Arsenal to new heights.
Three Arsenal players are attempting to persuade Rogers
Rice, Rogers’ England teammate, is “leading the charm offensive” for the player, who is reportedly currently worth £85 million, according to The Daily Mail, which Football365 cited.
In fact, it has been alleged that Arsenal is trying to persuade the Villa star to transfer by leveraging its England contingent.
The Three Lions team for the World Cup includes Rice as well as three other Gunners: Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke, and Bukayo Saka.
Importantly, insiders informed TEAMtalk that Rogers is “ready to move on” from Villa should “the right opportunity arise.”
Arsenal isn’t the only elite team interested, though.
