Federico Chiesa has reportedly reversed his stance on leaving Liverpool following the appointment of Andoni Iraola as the club’s new head coach.
The Italian winger endured a frustrating spell under former manager Arne Slot, struggling to secure regular playing time and appearing increasingly likely to seek a move away from Anfield this summer, reports Give me sport.
However, according to reports from Italy, Chiesa is now keen to remain at Liverpool and prove himself under Iraola. The 28-year-old believes the managerial change offers him a fresh opportunity to restart his career on Merseyside and establish himself in the new coach’s plans.
While Chiesa is open to leaving if Liverpool decide to sell him, his current preference is to stay and compete for a place in the squad rather than push for an exit.
