Barcelona’s concept for the new Spotify Camp Nou has taken another huge step ahead, with the club confirming their plan to host one of the world’s greatest football events.
The Catalan giants have officially submitted their proposal to UEFA to host the 2029 UEFA Champions League Final.
The concept was developed in partnership with Barcelona City Council, the Generalitat de Catalunya, and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), which serves as the host and co-organizing organization.

With the application process finished, UEFA has received the whole dossier, which includes all of the necessary papers, assurances, and technical specifics to back Barcelona’s proposal.
Barcelona ready to take the step.
The club stated that the entire plan has already been submitted to UEFA, and it meets all contractual, institutional, and operational elements demanded by European football’s governing body.
Barcelona stated in an official announcement that it has submitted its application.
“FC Barcelona, together with Barcelona City Council, the Government of Catalonia and with the support of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), as host and co-organising association, has formally submitted to UEFA the bid and complete dossier to apply for hosting the 2029 UEFA Champions League Final.”
The choice now falls to UEFA, which is likely to analyze all applicant cities before deciding on a host for one of club football’s most important events.
