Manchester City looking for a Premier League star
According to Spanish newspaper AS, City are interested in Spurs right-back Pedro Porro, despite the north Londoners wanting to open negotiations about a new contract that would keep the full-back at the club until 2028.
City have allegedly made touch with Porro, with Spurs requesting £50 million for the 26-year-old Spanish international.
Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi wants to keep the player and views him as a key member of his club for next season.
“Tottenham have had negotiations with the Spanish full-back to attempt to extend his contract beyond 2028, but they have yet to persuade him, and the situation has now taken a turn. Some have not wasted any time. Manchester City, which has repeated issues at right-back, has already begun negotiations to obtain a move, even before the World Cup begins. The player and Tottenham are aware of City’s interest. The London club refuses to give up and does not want to lose one of its most key players.
The right-back has made 152 appearances for Spurs, scoring 13 goals and providing 26 assists as the club won the Europa League in 2025.
