Manchester United Can Solve Marcus Rashford Future As Two Swap Deal Surface

Manchester United have been made aware of two trade agreements that might end Marcus Rashford’s Old Trafford career. The 28-year-old is set to return to his parent club this summer after a successful season-long loan spell at Barcelona.

However, that homecoming might be postponed if Michael Carrick’s team decides on one of two suggestions. The first option, proposed by a former United player, would see the England star transfer to AC Milan in exchange for Rafael Leao.

The Portuguese winger, who has a £131 million release clause, has been linked with a transfer to Manchester in recent months, with sources claiming that the Italian club is eager to let him leave.

United great Jaap Stam has backed the direct trade, believing it will benefit everyone involved. Speaking with ComeOn, the Dutchman said that a trade between Rafael Leao and Marcus Rashford may work. Leao is also a skilled player.

“He demonstrated his promise at Milan, of course, in what he can accomplish. I believe he should be one of Manchester United’s objectives. Having said that, you must consider both a player’s talent and their mindset.

“You need to consider the situation where the club is, what player they are bringing in that is going to help the club going forward, so that you don’t get any irritations from players who are not being picked to start.”

Another potential answer to the uncertainty surrounding Rashford’s future is to acquire Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Premier League’s top clubs have expressed interest in  Spanish international.
