Arsenal are one win away from having the finest season in club history, with just Paris Saint-Germain standing in their way of a first Champions League championship, barely a week after winning the Premier League for the first time in 22 years.
Despite a fantastic season finale, the Gunners will want to rebuild their team in the summer, and an unexpected target has appeared on their radar as the transfer market opens.
According to Simon Phillips, Arsenal is investigating a deal for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, with the Argentine recently rethinking his future at Stamford Bridge, while Real Madrid is also interested in his services.

Fernandez scored 15 goals and assisted seven times for Chelsea in all competitions in 2025/26 and is worth £80 million, yet with enough prize money gained this season, Arsenal should be able to pay him.
Chelsea are unlikely to sell to Arsenal
While Arsenal and Chelsea have made a number of transactions in recent years, with Noni Madueke joining the freshly crowned Premier League winners last year, the Blues may rule out bringing Enzo Fernandez to North London.
Not only has the Argentine international been one of their finest players in recent years, but his leadership, experience, and on-field effect are too vital for Chelsea to give up to a direct competitor.
Even Fernandez appears to want to join Real Madrid, and the former Benfica player may wait until late in the summer to see if the La Liga giants make an offer before choosing whether to stay at Chelsea or evaluate his options.
