Luis Enrique describes Arsenal as the “best team in the world without the ball”

Luis Enrique praised Arsenal’s challenge into the Champions League final after Mikel Arteta led the club to its first Premier League victory since 2004.

“Without the ball, they are the best team in the world, and with it, they can score a lot,” Enrique said during a news conference.

“It’s a great match for them. It seems logical that we will face them in the final.”

The PSG coach also complimented Arteta’s contribution at Arsenal, citing many close calls in recent seasons.

“When you look at Arsenal’s stats, you can see that Mikel Arteta is a leader as a manager, who has instilled a winning mentality in the team,” Enrique said.

“They’ve been improving for several seasons now. They deserve to be there, and Arteta fosters a competitive attitude in his players.”

Arsenal is also addressing injury issues ahead of the final. Jurrien Timber is striving to recuperate in time for Budapest, and Ben White has already been ruled out. Mikel Merino is also in a push to return.
