Arsenal Hold Discussions To Sign “World-Class” £30 Million Talent As Ben White’s Replacement

Arsenal have discussed a summer transfer for Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso, who may replace Ben White.

Ben White’s future at Arsenal remains uncertain.

Mikel Arteta has made it obvious that he is still a great admirer of White, describing the Englishman as “tremendous” after re-establishing himself in the first squad earlier this season, and he has already made 29 appearances across all competitions.

However, the defender’s future at the Emirates Stadium is now in doubt, as it has been stated that he has grown dissatisfied after falling behind Jurrien Timber in the pecking order, and Everton are interested in a summer transfer.

Manchester United have even been mentioned as prospective bidders for the 28-year-old, who has returned to the starting lineup in recent weeks, with Timber expected to miss the rest of the season due to an ankle injury.

Arteta has revealed he is unsure whether the 24-year-old will be fit for selection before the season ends, saying: “I don’t know, there’s still a lot to do.” Everything must be perfectly smooth and swift in order to play any minutes.

According to TEAMtalk, White is anticipated to leave this summer, and Cambiaso has been identified as a potential replacement, with Juventus willing to trade the Italian defender for £30 million.

Talks have taken place, and the Gunners have been approached about signing the 26-year-old, who can play on both sides of the defence and in central midfield.

The 19-cap Italy international, dubbed “world-class” by journalist Zach Lowy, has been a vital player for Juve this season, scoring three goals and providing four assists in 34 Serie A games.

The Genoa-born defender has also generated 54 opportunities in Serie A this season, the second-highest total in the Juventus team, after only Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice in the Premier League.
