Arsenal Receive Massive Title Race Boost Ahead Of Fulham Clash

Marco Silva will be without three of his best players when Fulham face Arsenal in the Premier League this weekend.

The Cottagers go a short distance across the capital for another crucial match for Mikel Arteta’s team on Saturday night.

With Manchester City playing in the FA Cup past weekend, the Gunners are now three points ahead at the top once more.

Arsenal have the opportunity to go six points clear tomorrow since Pep Guardiola’s team doesn’t play Everton until Monday night.

One former Arsenal player will not play for his former team. Two weeks ago, Alex Iwobi had to leave the goalless draw with Brentford before the half due to a hamstring issue.

According to the Metro, Silva said that the Nigeria international is still out, ruling him out of last weekend’s triumph over Aston Villa.

Ryan Sessegnon scored the game’s winning goal before being substituted late in the game against Unai Eemry’s team.

The 25-year-old will miss the encounter at the Emirates and Fulham’s next match against Bournemouth due to the knock.

Kevin, a summer acquisition who currently has an impressive eight goals in his debut season in England, has been sidelined for the past seven games due to a metatarsal bruise.

Kenny Tete is probably going to be available again for Fulham.

Silva Updates On Iwobi And Sessegnon

“It’s not good news about him,” said Silva when asked about Sessegnon.

“Alex [Iwobi] is out still, plus Kevin. Kenny [Tete], we will have to see how he reacts from the last two sessions. He can probably be involved in the game.

“We have some doubts on some players, but we will assess them tomorrow to see how they react from things that happened in the week.”

Arsenal beat Fulham 1-0 in the reverse fixture at Craven Cottage in October.
