Atletico Madrid’s squad have been strengthened by the return of defender David Hancko and winger Ademola Lookman for tonight’s Champions League match against Arsenal.
In the lead-up to the match, Diego Simeone’s team faced a number of fitness challenges, but it is now clear who is available.
According to Football London, a 23-man roster arrived on the club’s social media outlets and website and attacker Lookman and Hancko, who has been in light training since last Friday, have made the cut.
However, three players are not present because of injuries. Versatile wide player Nico Gonzalez, who picked up a muscular injury in Tuesday morning’s training session, long-serving central defender Jose Maria Gimenez and midfielder Pablo Barrios are sidelined.

Salvador Esquivel Gamez, Juan Musso, and Jan Oblak are the goalkeepers. Although Oblak is anticipated to start before Musso, there have been suggestions that the Argentine take the Slovenian’s spot in goal.
Atletico Madrid’s defence includes young players Julio Diaz and Javier Bonar in addition to Matteo Ruggeri, Clement Lenglet, Nahuel Molina, Hancko, Marc Pubill, and Robin Le Normand.
Koke, Rodrigo Mendoza, Johnny Cardoso, Alex Baena, Marcos Llorente, Guiliano Simeone, Thiago Almada, and Obed Vargas are all excellent midfield players for Atleti.
Then in attack, Simeone can call upon several big guns in Lookman, Julian Alvarez, Antoine Griezmann and Alexander Sorloth.
