Real Madrid have reportedly opened direct discussions with Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni as the club accelerates its search for a new manager ahead of the summer.
According to COPE, club president Florentino Pérez is actively exploring options as current boss Álvaro Arbeloa is expected to leave his position at the end of the season.

Scaloni, who led Argentina to victory at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, has emerged as a serious candidate due to his recent success at international level.
Reports suggest Real Madrid have already made direct contact to assess his interest in taking over the role.
However, any potential move would not happen immediately, as Scaloni remains committed to guiding Argentina through the upcoming World Cup in North America.
He would only be available after the tournament concludes.
Despite his achievements with Argentina, Scaloni has limited club management experience, having previously served only as an assistant at Sevilla.
This raises questions about whether Real Madrid are willing to take a risk on a coach who has not yet led a club side as head coach, reports Madrid Universal.
Other names, including Jurgen Klopp, Mauricio Pochettino, and Jose Mourinho, are also being considered as part of Madrid’s ongoing managerial shortlist.
