BlueCo has signed 48 players to long-term contracts since acquiring Chelsea in May 2022. The Blues have averaged 12 permanent additions per transfer window over the course of four summers.
Many expect Chelsea executives to be quite busy once more as the 2026 summer transfer window draws near. A quick look at the present team makes it clear that every outfield position has to be strengthened.
The Blues have followed a specific business model since they were acquired by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital over four years ago. Finding potential young talent from around the world and securing agreements as soon as possible—even if it means Chelsea have to wait till the player is formally theirs—is part of that strategy.
A good illustration of this model is Estevao Willian. Four players who have reached agreements with their respective teams are expected to join Chelsea during the next summer transfer window.
Chelsea Already Sealed Four Deals
According to the Mirror, Geovany Quenda (Sporting CP), Dastan Satpayev (FC Kairat), Denner Evangelista (Corinthians), and Emanuel Emegha (Strasbourg) are all pre-arranged deals for Chelsea. The arrival of all four stars is scheduled for this summer.
It’s unclear where they’ll play next season. According to Football London, Quenda is anticipated to be included in Chelsea’s first-team plans for the upcoming season.

Emegha will probably be included in the team as well, competing with players like Liam Delap and Joao Pedro for the striker position at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will assess Mike Penders’ situation in the summer while he is on loan at Strasbourg.
Given the uncertainty surrounding Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen as of now, the young Belgian goalkeeper has drawn attention in France, and the club are expected to consider it given their high expectations for Penders.
