Two Brentford FC players were reportedly left bloodied after stepping in to help a man during an alleged assault in southwest London.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, shortly after Brentford’s 0-0 draw against Leeds United at Elland Road.
According to reports, the players were returning home when they witnessed a man being attacked in Richmond at around 2am.

Acting quickly, they intervened to defuse the situation before authorities arrived.
Despite being left bloodied during the altercation, both players are said to be in good condition and did not require any medical treatment.
Witnesses described the scene as intense, but confirmed the players were able to walk away unharmed.
Police Investigation Ongoing After Richmond Incident
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they responded to reports of an assault on Queen’s Road in Richmond at approximately 02:00 on Sunday, March 22.
Officers attended the scene and spoke with the victim, while investigations into the incident remain ongoing. No arrests have been made so far, reports Independent
The match at Elland Road marked Brentford’s final fixture before the international break, with players reportedly allowed to arrange their own travel back home.
The goalless draw leaves Brentford in a strong position in the Premier League table, sitting seventh and still within reach of the Champions League qualification spots.
