Arsenal are set for a Carabao Cup showdown with Manchester City on Sunday.
This weekend, the two top teams in England will square off at Wembley Stadium in an attempt to win the first trophy of the season.
According to the Mirror as reported by Daily Star, Arteta is enjoying the possibility that his club will face a difficult opponent while the championship race rivals nursing their disappointment.
Rice Names New Dressing Room Leader
After David Raya’s fantastic performance in Europe on Tuesday, Declan Rice emphasized the importance of Raya in the dressing room.
The man of the match award was given to the midfield dynamo for his outstanding performance against Bayer Leverkusen.
Rather than basking in the praise, the England international singled out his goalkeeper as one of Arsenal’s key leaders.

During a chat with Gunners legend Thierry Henry on CBS Sports, Rice said: “Yeah, he deserves every bit of credit that he’s getting.
“I wish people could come in and see every day how he trains because the intensity that he trains at and the level that he trains at, there’s literally no reason why he’s not doing what he’s doing on the pitch.”
Possible Carabao Cup Final Drop
Kepa Arrizabalaga feels he is pushing his teammate to start for Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against City, despite Raya’s elevated status within the Arsenal group.
Although he has played in goal for the League Cup games, the 31-year-old has been the Spaniard’s backup goalkeeper this season.
Arrizabalaga has been the go-to option throughout the domestic cup campaign, which may have presented Arteta with a selection conundrum even though Raya is in outstanding form.
After describing how he would manage the pressure at Wembley, the former Chelsea shot-stopper is sure the Gunners manager will choose him.
He stated: “The atmosphere at Wembley is so special, everything around the game is special – the build-up and everything.
“You know you are out there playing for a title, and right now in this moment of football, every title is so difficult to get.
