Jadon Sancho’s permanent return to Borussia Dortmund this summer is reportedly a “realistic” possibility.
According to the German daily Bild, Dortmund’s management are becoming more receptive to the notion and have communicated with Sancho’s camp.
Manchester United have the option to extend Sancho’s contract for another year, although it expires at the end of the current campaign. He has been on loan at Aston Villa for the entire season.
According to Bild, the winger is willing to accept a pay reduction in order to return to Dortmund, but only his representatives have spoken with him.
According to reports, he makes about £250,000 a week, but if he transfers to Dortmund, who are in second place in the Bundesliga, he might have to cut that amount by more than half.

United had to cover about £100,000 of his salary when he went on loan to Borussia Dortmund in 2023–2024.
Dortmund Hierarchy Willing To Sign Sancho
Many of the club’s senior executives are eager to sign him, therefore he will be one of their top summer transfer targets.
Head coach Niko Kovac and managing director Lars Ricken are now receptive to the concept, which is being spearheaded by sporting director Sebastian Kehl.
Naturally, Sancho is well-liked by Dortmund supporters. Between 2017 to 2021, he played there permanently for four seasons, scoring 50 goals.
After being inspired by Sancho’s brilliant play at Borussia Dortmund, United signed him for £73 million in 2021, but he never achieved the success he had in Germany.
