Arsenal keeping an eye on Newcastle United right-back Tino Livramento as a potential addition to their backline next summer, according to the Telegraph.
After coming through Chelsea’s famous Cobham program, the 23-year-old joined Southampton in 2021. His time at St Mary’s was cut short by a catastrophic knee injury that sidelined him for more than a year.
He later joined Newcastle United in 2023 and has prospered under Eddie Howe, contributing to the club’s historic EFL Cup victory over Liverpool a year ago and helping them qualify for the UEFA Champions League last season.
In the current season, the English fullback has made 21 appearances for Newcastle in all competitions, primarily on the right, but his ability to alternatively play on the left gives significant versatility.
It is so predictable that Mikel Arteta, whose system depends on versatile full-backs, is now considering a move for the teenager.

With two years left on his contract, the versatile fullback is hesitant to extend his stay at Tyneside, attracting the attention of the Gunners, whose manager, Mikel Arteta, has the same agent as the 23-year-old, according to the source.
Versatile fullback
However, the source adds that Newcastle’s £60 million valuation may discourage the Premier League table-toppers, with alternative targets also being considered.
Since joining from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2021, Ben White has battled persistent injuries that have disrupted his rhythm and limited his involvement under Mikel Arteta for extended periods of time.
Jurriën Timber’s steady form at right-back this season has reduced his role, after earlier building a great understanding with Bukayo Saka on the right flank.
While his contract in North London extends until 2028, an early exit is not impossible, and Livramento might be a suitable long-term successor for Arteta’s side if White leaves.
Arsenal will return to Premier League action this weekend, hosting Everton, who have won the second-most away games in the league this season.
