Desire Doue, Paris Saint-Germain forward, believes his team would be full of confidence if they are drawn against Chelsea in the Champions League last-16.
Defending champions PSG were forced to compete in the playoffs after finishing outside the top eight in the tournament’s league phase.
However, following a 2-2 draw in their second leg against Monaco on Wednesday, Luis Enrique’s team won 5-4 on aggregate to continue their trophy defence.
Monaco tied the game before halftime thanks to a goal from Maghnes Akliouche, but Marquinhos and Khvicha Kvaratskheli restored PSG’s lead.
Jordan Teze scored late to give Monaco hope, but PSG held on for a nail-biting win after Monaco defender Wout Faes missed a glorious opportunity in injury time.
PSG will now face either Chelsea or Barcelona in next month’s last-16 tie, with the outcome to be decided in Friday’s draw.

But French winger Doue thinks his team would go into the next round of the game unfazed, regardless of who they are drawn against.
“It’s going to be two great games,” Doue told UEFA.
‘In either scenario, we’ll approach them with confidence, and we’re prepared to face them regardless of whose team they’re on.’
Regarding his team’s victory over Monaco, he stated, ‘We’re incredibly thrilled to get through. It was critical to pass this test.
We demonstrated amazing spirit and resilience by coming back from behind.
‘[Monaco] are a fantastic team with a lot of talent and some standout players. Every match in the Champions League is challenging.
‘Tonight, we finished the job, and that’s what matters.’
When asked about facing Chelsea in the next round, PSG manager Luis Enrique described them as a ‘great’ team.
