Chelsea To Decide On Jackson Future Upon Return From Bayern

Nicolas Jackson and Chelsea will discuss their options when the 24-year-old striker returns from his season-long loan at Bayern Munich in the summer.

The German giants agreed to pay £14.3 million to get the Senegal international for 2025-26 season. Chelsea does not expect Bayern to pursue a separate permanent deal, and the arrangement included a £56.2 million commitment to buy if he made a particular amount of appearances.

Other teams in Italy, Spain, and the Premier League expressed interest in Jackson last summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea will evaluate the best course of action for all parties at the end of this season, including whether to sanction a sale once more or whether to keep him in Liam Rosenior’s team.

Jackson and Enzo Maresca’s relationship ended, but since taking over as Blues manager, Rosenior has demonstrated a willingness to offer players a fresh start.

Jackson Looking To Make His Loan Switch Permanent

According to insiders, Jackson is concentrating on attempting to take advantage of his chances to impress with Bayern in the lead-up to the summer, but all options are on the table.

He was substituted in the 86th minute of Bayern’s Bundesliga triumph over Werder Bremen on Saturday after being left out of the team for their match against RB Leipzig in the German Cup last week.

When Liam Delap suffered a hamstring injury at the last minute, Chelsea considered cancelling the deal, but Jackson insisted on moving to Bayern in the summer. On the day Jackson was scheduled to travel to Munich for his medical examination, Delap sustained an injury.

Despite the challenges, the Bayern transfer was completed thanks to a recall of Marc Guiu from his loan at Sunderland and last-minute talks facilitated by Jackson’s agent Ali Barat. He has five goals across all competitions under Vincent Kompany.
