Barcelona Unwilling To Pay €30M For Rashford

Barcelona are reportedly keen on keeping Marcus Rashford once his current loan period ends, but they are unwilling to pay the agreed-upon €30 million sum to buy him permanently.

One of the main topics of conversation regarding Barcelona’s future plans is Rashford’s situation.

According to sources, the England international, who is presently on loan at Manchester United, has no plans to return to Old Trafford after the season is over.

Rashford is thought to be frustrated by Manchester United’s current football approach, as previously reported.

His objectives, in his opinion, are more in line with a project that can regularly contend for the top European football prizes.

He believes he has found such atmosphere at Barcelona and believes Hansi Flick is the best manager to lead the squad to significant success.

The €30 million purchase option included in his loan agreement, however, is seen too exorbitant by Barcelona’s hierarchy according to Barca Universal, making the financial aspect of the deal a significant barrier.

The club are willing to extend the player’s stay since they value him, but they are not ready to activate the clause at the current cost.

Barcelona are then anticipated to try to renegotiate the conditions with Man United instead.

Reducing the set price or restructuring the contract to better suit the club’s budget would be the aim.

Including players in the deal is another approach under consideration. Marc Casado is one of the names mentioned in that context; he might be offered as part of a package deal to increase United’s interest in the transfer.
