Barcelona secured a victory on Wednesday night that puts them in a solid position to finish in the top eight of the UEFA Champions League, but at a heavy price.
Pedri Gonzalez, a key midfielder, left their 2-0 victory over Slavia Prague after an hour and will be tested further in the club today due to the injury.
Pedri’s problem is “not serious,” according to preliminary reports, although it could deter him from playing several games over the next month.
According to El Chiringuito, Pedri has a little hamstring tear, which typically takes four to five weeks to heal.
Matches Pedri Will Likely Miss
That would seem to prevent him from playing in at least five or six games during the upcoming month. Barcelona will play Copenhagen in the Champions League first phase final this weekend after hosting Real Oviedo at Camp Nou.

The Copa del Rey quarterfinal clash with Albacete and a trip to Elche come next, followed by matches against RCD Mallorca (H), Girona (A), and Levante (H). Pedri might be able to play again against Los Granotas if the injury lasts four weeks.
Additionally, they could have three more games if results doesn’t go their way against Copenhagen and Albacete during the time Pedri might be sidelined.
If they fall into the Champions League play-offs, Pedri will most likely miss the first leg on February 17–18 and, if his injury lasts for five weeks, he will also miss the second leg on February 24–25.
Should the Blaugrana advance to the Copa del Rey semifinal, the Spaniard will also miss the first leg, which is expected to take place on February 9, 10, or 11.
Frenkie de Jong is also suspended for Barcelona’s match against Copenhagen.
