Paris Saint-Germain are considering a deal for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, according to reports in France.
Fernandez, who joined the Blues in 2023 for a then-British record fee of £107 million, is thought to be considering his options at Stamford Bridge following Enzo Maresca’s surprise departure earlier this month.
Maresca was fired by the west London club on New Year’s Day following an acrimonious dispute with Chelsea’s leadership, prompting the hiring of new head coach Liam Rosenior last week.
Fernandez, who had a very positive relationship with Maresca prior to his departure, revealed he felt’sad’ for the Italian manager when he first responded to his dismissal after scoring a 94th-minute equaliser against Manchester City on January 4.

According to French media site L’Equipe, the World Cup winner is evaluating his future at Chelsea and has emerged as one of PSG’s top transfer targets.
The French giants, who won the Champions League last season, are apparently looking to strengthen their midfield around important player Vitinha.
It is alleged that the performances of Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz have recently caused concerns among Luis Enrique’s squad, despite the fact that they both performed admirably last season on their way to the Champions League title.
According to the French daily, PSG did not attempt to recruit Fernandez during the January transfer window, instead viewing him as a long-term objective.
PSG’s recruitment goal is to boost competition within Luis Enrique’s squad, addressing concerns that certain players have become complacent due to insufficient fight for first-team positions.”Not bringing in more competition is a mistake,” a source close to a PSG player told the publication.
‘They should have brought in guys who are eager to prove themselves.
