Arne Slot has underlined Liverpool’s dedication to attacking football, defending previous performances with zeal. And the head coach, whose side travels to Arsenal on Thursday trying to close the 14-point gap with the Premier League leaders, argues that the changes in the Reds’ performance in the final third are due to a shortage of players up front. According To Echo News.
Liverpool has an eight-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League, although they have drawn half of them, against Leeds United at home and away, Sunderland at Anfield, and Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

After losing nine of twelve games in all competitions between the end of September and November, Slot has sought to tighten their defensive structure, particularly following a three-match losing streak of 10-1 on aggregate to Manchester City, Nottingham Forest, and PSV, the latter in the Champions League.
Despite “boring” accusations levelled at the team in recent weeks, Slot says he and his players are still as determined as ever to attack with intensity and aggression as he prepares to visit Arsenal without Alexander Isak or Mohamed Salah – who scored 52 goals between them last season – and possibly Hugo Ekitike, who is scheduled for a late fitness test.
“Packing the team with midfielders is not something I do by choice,” the Reds manager stated. “I’m doing it because certain players aren’t available, and that’s something that needs to be made very clear because I’ve been a manager for six or seven years now.
“So I always play 4-3-3 with real wingers, never 5-4-1 or 4-4-2, and I’ve changed it four or five times in my career to bring in a midfielder as a winger because I thought the other team.
