Ruben Amorim Discloses Major Manchester United Injury Blow Ahead Of Newcastle United Clash

Bruno Fernandes will almost probably miss Manchester United’s Boxing Day showdown against Newcastle United due to a hamstring injury.

Eddie Howe’s side face a difficult trip to Old Trafford on Friday, which is the only Premier League encounter on December 26 this season. This will be the two clubs’ fourth Boxing Day clash in 13 years.

Until recently, the Theatre of Dreams was an uncomfortable hunting field for the Magpies. Newcastle have won two, drawn one, and lost one of their last four games against Manchester United.

Newcastle fans will have been relieved to see Red Devils skipper Fernandes limp off in their 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa. The midfielder appeared to aggravate his hamstring just before the interval.

Fernandes fought on for the rest of the half before being replaced at the break. Following the game, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim revealed that Fernandes will be out of play. Reported By Newcastle World.

“It’s soft tissue,” Amorim informed reporters. “It will take a while. We must cope. We will discover solutions. He’s always in good shape, so we should be able to recover rather quickly. But I do not know.”

Manchester United’s mini-injury crisis

In addition to their captain, Manchester United will be represented by Bryan Mbeumo (AFCON), Amad Diallo (AFCON), Noussair Mazraoui (AFCON), Kobbie Mainoo, Matthijs de Ligt, and Harry Maguire.

Newcastle will be licking their tongues as they prepare for the festive trip later this week. Given their own fitness issues and poor away form, the Magpies will take advantage of every opportunity before facing Manchester United, a direct challenger for a European spot.

In October, Howe was oddly connected to the Manchester United position. When asked about the links by supporters, he replied, “I’m all in (at Newcastle). My dedication is unwavering, and it always has been.

“My family is still here, and we battle every day to make what we’re doing a success. The season ahead may be amazing, and that is what we are trying to focus on, making the most of the games we have coming up.”
