Dominik Szoboszlai has been one of Liverpool’s standout players in a challenging first half of the season for the reigning Premier League winners.
The midfielder has already played in four different positions, including midfield and defence, and has five goals and five assists in 23 outings this season.
His form and growing importance have not gone ignored, and the Reds’ overall troubles have highlighted how important the 25-year-old is to Arne Slot, according To Liverpool Echo News.
As a result, fans may have been a little nervous while watching Szoboszlai in recent weeks, knowing that Liverpool is on the verge of losing the in-form Hungarian.

For more than a month, the midfielder has been on a disciplinary tightrope in the Premier League after receiving his fourth booking of the season in last month’s defeat to Manchester City.
His next yellow card in the English top division, if handed before the Reds’ 20th league game of the season against Fulham on January 4, will result in a one-game suspension.
To at least deter such a threat, Szoboszlai has managed to avoid being sent off in Liverpool’s last five Premier League games.
However, with the amnesty approaching, the Reds may have to do without the 25-year-old for more than one match.
He was taken off with an ankle injury in the 83rd minute of Liverpool’s triumph over Brighton, despite originally trying to continue, with Slot confirming the setback after the game.
“Dom, it was his ankle,” the Dutchman revealed. “It didn’t look great when I just saw him. But he has unbelievable mentality so let’s hope for the best.”
