Liverpool manager Arne Slot’s future at Anfield is in doubt after his team surrendered points in a 3-3 Premier League tie with Leeds United on Saturday.
The Dutchman, who won the title in his first season, has lost ten of his 23 matches in all competitions this season, including six in the top division.
Furthermore, Mohamed Salah has alleged that his connection with the management has broken down after being benched for the third consecutive game against Leeds.
The Salah situation and bad performances this season have put pressure on the former Feyenoord manager, with the club apparently seeking for successors.
According to Dave OCKOP, Steven Gerrard is being considered as an interim manager for Liverpool if FSG decides to replace Slot in the near future.
According to the source, Liverpool also admires Germany national team head coach Julian Nagelsmann, who formerly worked at Bayern Munich and Hoffenheim.
It adds that the 38-year-old manager is expected to lead his team to the World Cup in America, Canada, and Mexico next summer, thus he will not be available right away.

Dave OCKOP argues that the German tactician may be available after the World Cup, therefore Gerrard coming in as an interim solution could make sense.
If Liverpool ultimately bring Nagelsmann in as their long-term replacement for Slot, he would be the ideal option to get the best out of Florian Wirtz.
Why Nagelsmann would be ideal for Wirtz.
To say Wirtz has not met expectations in a Liverpool shirt thus far would be an understatement, as he has failed to register a goal or assist in the Premier League, according to Sofascore.
The Reds spent £116 million to purchase the attacking midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen during the summer transfer window, and he has no goals and three assists in 19 games across all competitions.
Slot has simply been unable to get the most out of the big-money transfer, who had 16 goals and 14 assists for Leverkusen last season (Sofascore), but Nagelsmann might be brought in to get him going at Anfield.
