Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says he still has no clear timeline for Rodri return, as the midfielder continues to struggle with injury setbacks.
Rodri, who suffered an ACL injury in September 2024, has barely featured this season. He has played just one minute across City’s last 10 matches due to a persistent hamstring problem.

The 29-year-old has already been ruled out of Tuesday’s Premier League clash away to Fulham. His status for Saturday’s home match against Sunderland also remains in doubt.
When asked if Rodri was ready to return, Guardiola kept his response short: “No, not yet.”
Pressed on whether the Spain star might feature at the weekend, the City boss admitted: “I don’t know.”
Guardiola Addresses Donnarumma Controversy
Guardiola also commented on goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who received his fourth yellow card of the season during City’s dramatic 3-2 win over Leeds.
Leeds boss Daniel Farke accused the Italian of feigning injury to allow Guardiola to deliver tactical instructions. Donnarumma is now one booking away from suspension.
“Yes, he has many bookings,” Guardiola said. “It is what it is.” He revealed he had not spoken to the goalkeeper about the issue.
The City manager was more enthusiastic when discussing Fulham boss Marco Silva, praising his organisation and tactical approach, reports France 24.
Guardiola highlighted Fulham’s strong performances against Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal, calling matches at Craven Cottage “always very difficult.”
Manchester City continue to monitor Rodri closely as they prepare for a congested December fixture schedule.
