Everton teammates Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane made it plain that the tension between them after the altercation that took place during the 1-0 victory over Manchester United last Monday, which resulted in the Senegalese midfielder’s dismissal is now behind them.
A misunderstanding in the Toffees’ defensive area led to the feud. Bruno Fernandes had a huge opportunity to score when Gueye failed to clear the ball.
In a matter of seconds, the altercation intensified until Gueye struck his teammate in the face, prompting referee Tony Harrington to issue a straight red card.
The Senegalese went to Keane a few hours later to apologize for the gesture, but peace was genuinely established at Everton training—and in an unusual manner.

Everton striker Thierno Barry shared a video of Gueye and Keane in a makeshift boxing ring at Finch Farm, the Liverpool team’s training facility, on Instagram this Thursday.
Beto, the Portuguese striker who serves as the referee, instructs the two players to “touch gloves” while holding one boxing glove each.
The sequence concludes with an embrace between Keane and a smiling Gueye after the former even attempts the first punch.

The video came with the caption “There’s only love here”, along with a blue heart emoji.
With a man down since the 13th minute, Everton’s unexpected victory over Manchester United put David Moyes’ team in mid-table. Everton are currently having an impressive Premier League campaign.
With 18 points after five victories, three draws, and four losses, the Toffees are in 11th place.
