Chelsea Dealt Heavy Blow In Pursuit Of Yildiz

Giorgio Chiellini, Italy legend and Juventus director, has provided an update on the future of highly sought-after forward Kenan Yildiz amid rumors that Chelsea are interested in signing the young Turkish player.

The 20-year-old, who is a gem in the Turin crown has scored three goals and provided four assists in 14 appearances in all competitions this season, averaging a goal contribution every two games.

Yildiz’s quick ascent to prominence is said to have alerted several elite European teams, notably Chelsea, whose name has frequently come up when discussing the Turkish prospect.

Yildiz, who presently earns less than £50,000 a week, has reportedly drawn interest from teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal, and Manchester United.

Yildiz’s contract with the Bianconeri expires in the summer of 2029, although considering his modest salary and strong interest from other teams on the continent, his future has undoubtedly been questioned.

What Did Chiellini Say About Yildiz’s Future?

However, Yildiz’s contract extension is a top priority for Juventus, and the club’s head of football operations, Euro 2020 winner Chiellini, has confirmed that the attacker is committed to agreeing a new deal with the Old Lady.

“We are working on new deal for Kenan Yildiz, so keep calm,” Fabrizio Romano quotes Chiellini as saying. “The intention from all sides is the same, we plan to continue together.”

Yildiz’s long-term contract allows Juventus to demand a substantial fee for the 20-year-old in 2026; at least €100 million (£88.2 million) may be needed for his signature, even if they are unable to come to an agreement.

Before joining Juventus in the summer of 2022, Yildiz graduated from the Bayern Munich youth academy.

Since then, he has made 98 appearances for the Bianconeri across all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 15 assists.
