Barcelona president has reportedly ruled out Lionel Messi return to the Camp Nou under his tenure.
The Argentine superstar revealed in an interview that he misses living in the city after making an unexpected visit to Camp Nou on Sunday night.
Messi just agreed to a contract extension with Inter Miami through 2028, so it doesn’t seem probable that he would return to Barcelona as a player.
However, Messi did mention that he and his family miss the city where they grew up; he however still resides in the same home.

Laporta was out watching the team play Celta Vigo, thus the club was unaware of Messi’s arrival w hen he returned to the Camp Nou stadium last Sunday.
The fact that the eighth time Ballon d’Or winner did not show up with Laporta, whom he and his family allegedly blame for his departure, was interpreted by many as pointed.
According to Football Espana, Laporta was questioned about the incident during an interview with Catalunya Radio.
“I didn’t know he was coming, but the Spotify Camp Nou is his home.
“When they explained how it happened, I think it was a sweet little spur-of-the-moment decision; he’d just finished dinner and felt like coming with some friends.”
Laporta seemed unwilling to consider a more permanent return to the team as a player, even though he wanted to host Messi.
“It wasn’t how we all wanted it, things were as they were. If, in some way, the tribute can help to undo what wasn’t done perfectly, but still needed to be done, that would be good.
“Speculating about a possible return as a player is not appropriate.”
