One could argue that injuries have been Chelsea’s most serious issue this season. Yes, the performances have been below par thus far, but would they have been the same if Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill had been available? Probably not. Unfortunately, the Blues’ problems don’t appear to be improving.
Chelsea’s results have improved to some extent, yet their performances are still problematic. They have won six out of their past seven games.
Following their victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, they will face Qarabag in the Champions League. However, it appears that Enzo Maresca will be dealing with another injury ahead of this encounter.
According to The Standard, Chelsea practiced on Tuesday morning before heading to Azerbaijan for the match against Qarabag. Pedro Neto was absent.

Chelsea now has another source of concern as they prepare for their Champions League match. One can only hope that it is not a significant problem and that Neto comes back online as soon as possible.
Neto’s performances this season have divided opinion among supporters. Nobody can question his industry or willingness to work for the club, however. You always need a player like that in your team, even if his performance has been iffy.
In terms of the forthcoming match, even if Neto is unable to play, Chelsea should have enough to compensate for his absence. They have Estevao, who was almost certainly going to start in this game.
Maresca has alternated between the two during the season. Neto started against Tottenham Hotspur. As one might expect, Estevao’s turn was always going to come.
Many consider Estevao to be the better of the two, despite the fact that he is only 18 years old and has only recently arrived in Europe. That simply goes to show how talented and skilled he is. Let’s hope he makes the next step quickly and becomes one of the finest in the world.
