This means Mikel Arteta’s team has now won seven consecutive games across all competitions. Such form has positioned them as favourites to win the Premier League title this season, 22 years after their previous triumph.
While it is still early in the season, Arsenal’s excellent record has inspired Pep Guardiola to make his own championship race predictions. His squad, Manchester City, is also anticipated to be in contention for the title, with star striker Erling Haaland in excellent form.

Guardiola has thrown his hat into the title battle, predicting that Arsenal would drop “few” points over the season, according to the Mirror.
Ahead of his team’s trip to Aston Villa, Guardiola singled out Arteta and Slot’s squads for praise, revealing his opinion on who would be in contention for the title by the end of the season.
“In the Premier League, I have the feeling now that Arsenal is not going to drop much points,” according to him. “So that’s the reality. I have that sense about Arsenal and Liverpool as well.
“The distance, three, four points at this stage is nothing,” he said later. “I always had the notion that both teams, and possibly another, would drop a few points. That’s why we need to be there.”
