Kylian Mbappe Backs PSG Stars For 2025 Ballon d’Or While Eyeing His Own Future Glory

Kylian Mbappe has given his opinion on the 2025 Ballon d’Or race, naming two PSG stars he hopes perform strongly.

The Real Madrid forward, who is targeting the 2026 Ballon d’Or for himself, remains invested in the success of his friends.

The 2025 Ballon d’Or will be awarded on September 22, months earlier than usual, with voting debates already dividing fans and pundits.

Despite being nominated in several categories, Real Madrid will not have representatives attending the ceremony after last year’s controversial disputes.

Real Madrid forward, however, openly shared his admiration for Ousmane Dembele and Achraf Hakimi, two players he believes deserve recognition for their seasons.

Mbappe strongly backed Dembele to win the prize, admitting he had always supported his close friend and hoped voters recognize his brilliance.

He also praised Hakimi, highlighting the Moroccan defender’s historic campaign with PSG and insisting defenders deserve more recognition in Ballon d’Or voting.

The Frenchman said he wants Hakimi to finish high in the rankings, proving that footballing excellence belongs across all positions, not just attackers.

When asked about Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal, Mbappe was more reserved, unwilling to comment heavily given the teenager’s rivalry ties with Madrid.

Looking ahead, Mbappe has already set his sights on 2026, with the World Cup year presenting him a golden opportunity for glory, reports SI.
